Lilley And The Cyclops

For this particular cartoon I used illustrator
to add the colour and then imported the
image into photoshop and layered it with
extra  detail. The soft shading and highlights
were easier in photoshop on this occaision.
Usually I'd stick to Illustrator.

Tiffin Crew Poster

I had some spare time so I made this poster for a film that some friends and I made one weekend.
I changed my method for this one. I scanned a pencil sketch and just coloured in Photoshop.
On reflection it probably took me longer than if I'd vectorized the image and coloured it in Illustrator.
Still it's always fun doing cartoons of your friends.

Stylized Monthly Challenges

BIGFOOT
It all starts with a pencil sketch...
My favourite part of the process.
In illustrator I refine the line work, using illustrator's bevel points. This can be pretty intensive work. For a project such as this...It was!
I try and do as much of the colouring
 as possible all within illustrator....
...However sometimes I reluctantly take the final illustration and finish the render in photoshop.
